Question
i have a question regarding an unlocked blackberry7290. i inserted my SIM card in the device and i don't have an Internet plan. does that mean if i turn the wireless on i am being charged for the Internet? please help me.

Answer
The good news is that if you turn on the wireless, you will not be charged for the Internet because you won't be able to use the Internet on your BlackBerry. You have to have a BlackBerry data plan to access any type of data connection with a BlackBerry - unlocked or not. The BlackBerry has no ability to access data without access to a BlackBerry server and the only way to have it access the BlackBerry server is via a BlackBerry data plan. The device will be good for voice calls, text and the functions that don't require a connection to your carrier, contact list, calendar, notes, but you will not be able to do anything related to accessing the internet or MMS. I hope this helps. Thanks. DebiN
