Question
I have a t mobile phone, and service. But the phones REALLY REALLY nothing speacial at all. Its the most basic one you can get. A friend gave me a motorola razor. And I want to take out my sim card and put it in the razor. But its a motorola cingular phone. I put my sim card in and all the screen says is "contact service provider"or something like that. I was just wondering if it was possible To put my t mobile sim card in,and use this motorola cingular razor phone as my phone. Is there any kind of hack or mod i can do so i may use this phone ? if so,can you tell me how...or if its even possible ???

Answer
You would need to find someone who can SIM unlock your Razr. Once SIM unlocked, then your SIM will work in the phone. However, you will still need to manually program the WAP (Internet) and MMS (picture messaging) settings for the phone. It's not about hacking or modifying, the phone needs to be SIM unlocked and you will not be able to do this yourself, you will need to find someone who can do it who has the device that allows them to get the code. Typically, you would have to pay someone $30 or so to do this. For that price, I might suggest just getting a new free phone from T-Mobile with a new 2 year agreement (if you are currently ugprade eligible). I hope this helps. Thakns. DebiN
