Cellular Phones/Family Plan / Porting Numbers - AT&T

Question
Hi,

My husband and I both have individual plans with AT&T (iphone), with different area codes (917) and (508). We want to consolidate to a family plan, however neither want to give up our number - and they are making this virtually impossible. Any ideas?? I know you have addressed this in the past, but wasn't sure if there are any updates...

Thanks!

Answer
So officially, there is no way to do this. The only way that AT&T allows numbers in different areas to be on a plan together is if you have a business account. With a personal account, it's not possible. If you start a business account (and qualify for one as a legitimate business), then you could do this, otherwise, it's not possible, I'm afraid. Sorry that I didn't have better news for you on this. Thanks. DebiN
