Cellular Phones/Capturing Voicemail Message

Question
I know this is an odd question but a dear friend just lost his wife rather unexpectedly.    He wanted to know if there is any way to capture the voicemail message she had stored on her cell phone for incoming calls.  She had a Verizon LG phone.  Any way to do this without losing the quality of her original recording?   Thanks for any and all assistance.

Answer
Unfortunately, once your friend cancels the service for his late wife's cell phone, the recording will be lost. He might want to consider calling the number and using a recorder on the other end to capture the recording permanently, but outside of that, there really isn't any way to keep it other than to play the recording into a recording device. Just be sure that he understands that the minute he cancels service, that recording is gone forever. If he keeps her cell phone number active, the recording won't go away unless he changes it. He may also want to call his late wife's cell number and then make a three way call to his home phone and when the answering machine starts to record, he can then connect the two calls so that the message he leaves on his answering machine is his late wife's voice mail greeting. I hope this helps. Thanks. DebiN
