Question I have the Versa phone from Verizon. The Battery life on it is very poor quality; lasting maybe four hours tops. Yesterday I put the phone on the charger and its not working at all. I tried using my sisters even though she has a different phone I've used hers before and it has worked. I have no idea what to do, I need my phone and its completly dead. I think I'm going to the Verizon store tomorrow to see what they can do. But in the back of my head I wonder if I could just somehow get a new phone instead. But I'm unwilling to pay for a new plan, and I don't have the money to spend hundreds on just the phone. What should I do? I hate this phone so any suggestions work. Thanks
Answer Sorry it took me so long to answer and I have a feeling that you probably already went to the Verizon store. If your sister's charger worked for your phone, then the good news is that your charger is the issue and all you need is a new charger. If your sister's charger didn't work, then the issue is likely the charging port on your phone which can likely be repaired by Verizon. If your phone is more than 2 years old and you are eligible for an upgrade, then I strongly recommend that you upgrade. If you figure out the cost difference between the plan you have now and the plan you will need to get when you upgrade over 2 years, it is likely way less than what you would pay if you just paid for the phone. With a free phone from Verizon and the new plan, I'm pretty sure it's much more cost effective. Especially since you hate the phone, I would say to do it. The only way Verizon will "give" you a new phone is if your phone is less than 12 months old and not working due to an issue other than water damage or if you dropped it, i.e., caused the problem. I hope this helps. Thanks.
