Question
So i have a Motorola Q cell phone and we had recently turned the internet access off. as soon as we did that i stopped being able to receive picture messaging. is there anyway i can still get picture mail without having the internet on my phone? thanks!
Picture Messaging (MMS) requires that you have a data plan. You can't use MMS without a data plan. SMS (text messaging) uses the voice channels, so you don't need a data plan for SMS, but you do for MMS. Depending upon who your carrier is, there are different prices for the data plan. Where you won't necessarily need a full $30.00 data plan plus the price of the MMS package, you can get a lower priced package from some carriers. Contact your carrier and ask them what is the least expensive way for you to get picture messages without a full data plan.
