Question
I switched from t mobile to metro pcs 6 days ago and my phone is activated.I ported my number to metro and have a new phone. I can call local area code friends but when i try to call long distance it say NSF 02, in order to complete your call you will need a metro pcs calling card. Also i can only send text messages to one of my friends who is long distance. I can reply to anyone who texts me but i can not send a new message to anyone but my one long distance friend. i called metro many times and they refreshed my phone and nothing happened.

Answer
Your account is not equipped to call outside of your calling area is what it sounds like to me. Metro is requiring a calling card in order to do this. Have you looked into getting one of those? The text issue relates to the way you are texting. You will need to put in the whole 10 digits when you text even they are local. I would recommend that you have a friend text you and then take their number from that text and save it in your phone under their contact. Then create a brand new text message from that contact and I guarantee you that you will be able to text them. It's all about the format that you are using. Whether someone is local or long distance, you still text the same way, all the numbers in the phone number. I hope this helps.
