Question
My husband has an alltell LG cell phone. He no longer wants to be with alltell as they are to expensive. Is there a prepaid phone card like straight talk, trac phone or any other one that will work on his cell phone?
Because Alltel uses CDMA technology, it would be hard to find a prepaid phone card to work with the phone. You can put a prepaid SIM card into a post paid phone but not vice versa (with GSM). With CDMA, the phone has to be programmed. My suggestion is that you get a Tracfone or other prepaid that is less expensive and get the phone from them. Then, you will be able to check your minutes, refill, etc. and use data without any issue. Trying to do it the other way will be nothing but problems.
