Question
This phone is giving us the message "call failed due to fading". At this time we cannot place or receive calls or text messages. Is there a simple setting to fix this?
From what I have been able to gather, this condition may occur when the network is congested or may also occur when there is a problem with your antenna on the device (it's an internal antenna). Your best bet to start is to pull out the battery, leave it out for about 30 seconds and then put it back in. If the condition continues, I would recommend contacting your carrier and asking them if they have a software update for the device that may help with the condition. If this doesn't work, I would recommend contacting RIM directly to see if they have any other options for you. Hopefully, the reset will work. Thanks.
