QUESTION: hi,my soni ericcson phone (model-k850i) backlight is not working.while pressing any button only the keypad light appears and no display but when showing any light near the screen we can see the menu n ol.

ANSWER: Try pulling out the battery, waiting a few minutes and then putting it back in. If this doesn't solve the problem, then the phone will need to be repaired if you want the backlight to work again. After awhile, things like the lights and speaker phone are the first to go on a phone. I'm not sure how old your phone is, but if it is under a year, it would still be under warranty if you purchased it thorugh your carrier. If over 2 years, I would suggest buying a new phone since you would likely no longer be under contract. I hope this helps.

QUESTION: i got the phone in lest feb n within 4 months its display light was gone and almost a year i'm trying hard to solve this problem.its warranty is not over but it was purchased from out of ma country so i cannot go there to repair it.can you please tell me by changing what ol parts there is a chance for this to work.

ANSWER: I'm not familar with home repair, but you may just want to take it into a repair shop where they fix cell phones and have them fix it. That would be your best bet. I hope this helps.

QUESTION: almost a year i'm walking with that phone and every repair shops say that they can't identify the problem.recently i sended it to ma cousin in saudi and there also they are saying the same

I'm very surprised that a repair shop said that they can't fix it because they should be able to fix it. There's a light inside the phone and a connection that controls it. I still wouldn't recommend any type of home repair, but someone can fix it. Typically though, it's cheaper to replace a phone than fix it in many cases.
