Cellular Phones/Interference from my HTC Desire phone

Question
I have an HTC Desire phone and when I'm at home I set it on my bedside table beside my DAB Digital Radio.  Without making or receiving any calls, messages, emails or anything else a constant very loud beeping noise comes from my radio.  It doesn't ever stop, it just sometimes gets so loud you can't hear anything over the noise.

I understand that with smart phones they are constantly updating by sending and receiving signals even while the user isn't actively using them.

I have a charging cradle for my HTC Desire and it is set up beside my alarm clock but the only way I can charge my phone is to unplug the alarm clock to stop the deafening interference.

Is there some devices available to stop interference from mobiles for DAB digital radio alarm clocks?

Thanks,

Heather

Answer
Unfortunately, unless you move the device away from the radio, you are going to continue to get interference. If you turn off the HTC device when you charge it, you shouldn't have any issues, but if you are going to leave it on, you will continue to have this problem. This can happen when a SmartPhone is too close to a landline phone, some computers and radios. Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do to prevent it except move it away from the radio or turn it off when you are charging it. Hope this helps.
