QUESTION: 1. Curious, why are clamshells not in demand anymore?

2. Why don't you like Boost phones?

3. And lastly, how long until there are armbands for tablets?

Julian
Answer:   1. I can't answer why clamshells aren't in demand anymore. I can only theorize as I did previously.
2. I'm not a fan of iDEN
3. No idea on how long for armbands, I'm afraid. I'm not privy to this info and can only guess.

Hope this helps.

1. Why are you not a fan of iDen?

I've decided that I will go with either the Motorola i1 through Boost or the Motorola Droid X with Verizon. I noticed that Verizon also appears to have month-to-month payment basis like Metro and Boost.

Here is the link and check out the submenu for Pricing:

2. Does it appear that Verizon also offers month-to-month payment basis?

3. What are the advantages and disadvantages of the i1?

4. What are the advantages and disadvantages of the Droid X?

5. Which is superior: i1 or the Droid X?

Answer
All carriers have prepaid plans (what you are referring to as month to month). That includes AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon.

Prepaid costs more in the long run. In my opinion, it's for people who don't need to use a lot of minutes or who have credit issues and can't get a contract from the carriers without paying a deposit.

I'm not familiar with an i1. The Droid X is a good Android phone.
