i am looking at buying a cell phone and it is a 2g phone will it work on a 3g network.

Answer
No, a 2G phone won't work on a 3G network, however, it's unlikely that where you are, the only option is 3G. However, in today's world, I would only buy a 3G or 4G phone. That's your best bet. Even though your carrier talks about 3G networks, they still have EDGE (2.5G). Thanks.
