Cellular Phones/Blackberry Phones' uniqueness

Question
Hey
I am looking forward to purchasing a new phone and probably it will be a blackberry after all the buzz that i have been hearing about it from every user that i know. However, thought of asking few questions prior to making any purchase:-

1. What are the typical features of a blackberry that other phones cant provide?

2. Is emailing possible only through blackberry or through other phones as well? If the latter, why does a blackberry outperform (apparently) from the other phones in emailing?

looking forward to hearing from you. thanks.

Answer
The features of a BlackBerry are basically the same as any other SmartPhone. What makes a BlackBerry "better" is that the operating system that RIM uses is very streamlined in that it is quick and doesn't require as much bandwidth or storage. All SmartPhones have most of the same features.

Emailing is possible on all SmartPhones whether they have the RIM operating system, Android, Windows Mobile, Palm etc. BlackBerry definitely outperforms other SmartPhones as it relates to email.

For business uses, the BlackBerry is by far the best, in my opinion, but for personal, I might consider something else (though I use BlackBerry for personal also). The new Androids are great and you can't beat an iPhone with a stick.
