Question
Hi, I recently purchased a verizon phone (blackberry storm)and was able to insert my tmobile sim card, it works fine but I am not able to access my voicemail account (apparently it goes straight to the previous owners account and she picks up the phone everytime I get a new voice mail!!!.And that makes me wonder if i will be able to receive any text messages sent to my sim card? Please advice, Thank you!

Answer
Where are you located? The Verizon Storm won't work on the T-Mobile network in the US because the GSM bands it works on are only non-US bands, so I am assuming that you are located outside of the US. The reason that you go to the previous owner's voice mail is because the phone is coded to dial the number for that person's voice mailbox, not yours, so you need to go into the Phone Settings under Voice Mail and change the settings to yours. Call T-Mobile to find out what 10 digit number needs to be dialed for voice mail (it's not your number) and then program in what they tell you.

Even though the Storm has the capability of using both GSM and CDMA, it only works on CDMA (Verizon, Sprint, etc.) in the US and GSM abroad. I hope this helps.
