Cellular Phones/downloading contacts to bluetooth

Question
I have a MBZ 2008 E350 with bluetooth cradle adaptor installed.  I have had no prolem downloading my contacts in the past but have been unsuccessful with my new phone, a Pantech P2030 from AT&T.  I can synch the phone, so I can make calls manually but not from the contacts list.  Yesterday I spent an hour at a local AT&T store and they were unable to do this download and told me that it wasn't possible with this phone.  Is this true?

thanks,

Steved

Answer
Unfortunately, it is true. The new phone you have is not fully compatible with your car. You will be able to make calls, as you have seen, but it is not ever going to be able to download your contacts. Not all phones are fully compatible with cars, I'm afraid. This is actually true. They didn't lie to you. You may want to check with Mercedes to see what new phones are fully compatible. I would assume that Motorola ones are, but I'm not sure about any of the others. I know that the majority of phones today are not fully compatible.
