Cellular Phones/How to stor texts to my sim?

Question
Hi, I have a Samsung B2100, the good old sturdy black and orage one, and my network is Vodafone.
I wanted to retrieve mistakenly deleted texts but when I tried to do that, I only got the undeleted ones showing on the card reader, and not the latest ones either, it showed only 15 undeleted ones with teh most recent being April 2011. I thought that all texts were automatically stored on the sim card, but I can't find any mention of this info for my particular phone, and can't find any way in the settings on my phone to make sure that texta are saved to the sim card. Can you please advise how I can make sure that all my texts are stored on the sim? I know that sometimes a sim stores up to around 30 on the sim, but then surely they would show on my sim card reader? I'm baffled. Hope this all makes sense! Thanks

Answer
Text messages are only stored to your SIM card if you specify for them to be stored there. And there is a limitation to the amount of space the texts can occupy. Storing to your phone is wiser and there's more space. When you delete a message, it will remain deleted unless the space is not occupied again with another message. You would not be able to see a message through a SIM reader that wasn't on the SIM. The SIM reader is just for viewing without a device. I hope this helps.
