Question
ok i just managed to get my ringtones work on my new phone but i have ringtones in this kind of format
example.mp3.dm
i removed the .dm it now displays in my phone as a file but wont play is there a way to get ringtones to work cuz its a old one and can not find them anywhere to replace it
If you try to just move a ringtone file and the ringtone is not compatible with your phone, it won't work as a ringtone. In order for a ringtone to work properly, the phone itself has to be able to read the file (and it's not about the mp3 or dm, it's about the contents of the file) and your carrier has to be able to support the tone file. My recommendation if you are unable to find this tone on line anywhere is to get a ringtone maker software package that can create the tone from the actual song. There are several different software packages. Just look for one that supports your phone and your wireless carrier. I hope this helps.
