Cellular Phones/at&t cell phone

Question
Hi,

I always have been a verizon user and am new to at&t.
I looked it up online and it seems like i can switch the phone by simply moving the sim card from old phone to new one (am I correct on that? my sim card says 3G on it, does that matter?)
I spent a chunk of time but could not find the phone with specifications that I want.
All Is want are,

1. non-smart phone/no data plan required
2. can record and save phone conversation (That is, record both what caller and receiver are saying over the phone)
3. can be connected to computer through USB.

If you knows phone that can do above, please give me some input
All inputs are appreciated very much !

Answer
Hi - my apologies for the delay in responding.

1. Your SIM card will work in any AT&T branded (non prepaid) phone. However, I strongly recommend that you do not buy a phone that is not branded to AT&T. It's not worth it and AT&T has so many phone choices, that I can assure you that you can find something to meet your needs. If you buy a phone on line that is "SIM unlocked", it would need to be programmed to access AT&T's network for data and MMS messaging. Not all features may work properly and there's no warranty and the phone may not have been certified for AT&T's network and therefore may not perform up to par.

2. AT&T has many non smartphones and all of them can be connected to your computer via USB. If you buy a phone not branded by AT&T, you will not be able to connect via computer as easily because the drivers won't match up.

3. No cell phone on the market today can record a phone conversation. It is illegal to do this and therefore not possible.

Though I know this may not be what you wanted to hear, I hope this is helpful.
