Cellular Phones/HTC Desire HD Battery life

Question
Hi. I have an HTC Desire HD. Its battery life is horrendous. Even if I don't use it, it lasts only about 5-6 hours. Is there any way to increase its battery life?

Answer
The HTC Desire came to the marketplace in 2010. Unfortunately, a lot of the Android devices from then have horrendous battery life. If you don't have the GPS and WiFi and Bluetooth on, you will get 100% better battery life, but if you have any of these things on, you will only get about what you are getting. If you talk on the phone, in a 3G area, the max is only 5 hours of talktime. On standby with all of these extraneous features turned off, it should last several days. The way to increase battery life is turn all of this stuff off. If you are due for a new device this year, I would recommend it, the newer Androids have better battery life, though still not great. You still have to turn off things you aren't using and should really charge your device as frequently as you can. You can't overcharge these devices. I hope this helps.
