Cellular Phones/International Calls and International Text Messages

Hello again, Debi.

Just a couple few more questions.

1. Why does Verizon have a smaller international presence? Does it have to do with the fact that they have CDMA?

2. Would I have trouble calling from Peru and Argentina using Verizon?

Best regards,

Their international presence isn't much smaller but it's more expensive. You won't have issues with those countries with either company or with ATT either. Truly though you may be better off getting a local SIM card. FYI hence using Verizon abroad, they use GSM. cDMA doesn't exist outside thenUS except in certain areas in India and its a different type, I.e, a US phone with CDMA won't work there. I believe there is a little CDMA in Mexico also. Hope this helps.
