Cellular Phones/att sim card

My son girl friend give me a phone in 2008 . I've been using this same sim card but her name is on it how can I change it to my name8

It's not the SIM card that has her ne on it, it would be the account and phone number associated with it. You would need to ask your friend to contact ATT to turn the account and phone number over to you.  It's called changing the liability. If the account is already in your name and you pay the bill them there's no issue. Hope this helps.
