Cellular Phones/Voice mail

Question
How do I check my voice mail from a different cell phone?

Answer
Hi Ann -

There are a couple of ways to do this. One, you can get the phone number where all the voice mails reside. Every carrier is different, but some of them actually have a telephone number that is dialed whenever you get a voice mail and you just have a "box" at that number. If you call that voice mail number, you will be prompted to verify if you are user and then enter your password. You can check your voice mail from another cell phone or a landline phone by calling your wireless number and then pressing the # key when the greeting starts playing. You should then be prompted for your password.

I would suggest checking the number that is coded as "Voice Mail" on your phone to see what number it is dialing. You can also get this information from your wireless provider if you let them know that you need to check voice mail remotely. Hope this helps. Thanks. DebiN
