Hi Steve,

I was wondering if you know about external mount cell phone antenna..  I need to improve the signal of my sprint PCS based samsung phone and was thinking of installing one of those 14 inch car antennas for use in my home. Do these antenna really improve signal strength over the normal phone antenna?  I usually get 1-2 bars inside the house and 2-3 bars outside now, and hope to get better strength indoors with the external antenna. If they do work, do you have any recommendations?

Yes they can. Be careful to get one that works with a Digital phone though. The old style that worked on analog will not work with the digital phones.
