Central/South American History - past life question

Expert: Paul Walcutt - 5/30/2004

Question
I recently had a past life reading. I was the son of a South American Dictator in the 1700s. My best friend was the son of a General in my father's army. I wanted to go to France to study. My friend came to get me one night to go with him. ( camping or something ) That was when my friend's dad planned a Coup, and my father was killed. I supposedly was taken in by my friend's father and studied in france, but never returned home. Do you know of anything like this ever happening?

Answer
The only problem with the past-life reading is that there were no dictators per se in the 1700s in Latin America.  The enitre area was under colonial control of Spain (except for Brazil, controlled by Portugal) until around 1810-1830, when the colonies gained their independence in a series of revolutions.  Even using the facts you provided to a 19th century setting, I don't recognize a corollary, though it could be one of many people.  Any more details (since many of the latin american elite went to Europe to study and there were numerous coups during the period)?
