Question
Hello!  I have a 1961 Inarco E-190/L which stands about 5 incles tall.  It's hand looks as though it broke off and has been glued back on.  Does this make it worthless?

Answer
Dear RA,
Nothing is worthless! It may have decreased its market value, but still may be worth something. Do you have a photo of it you can send?

RA,
Thanks for the photo. These Inarco ladies are highly collectible. I've seen them go for anywhere between $9.99 and $259, depending upon the condition. They're delightful and you see them show up on Ebay regularly. The better the condition the better the price.  I'm not an expert on antiques, but I do my fair share of collecting pottery & porcelain. Unfortunately, the break you have on your piece is fairly substantial and showing. That will knock the value down considerably. If it were smaller and in a more inconspicuous place that would help. If I personally had this piece, I'd string a string of pearls over the crack and display her & enjoy her delight. If you're still seeking an exact value I'd recommend you do some searching online with some of the antique dealers who provide exact estimates. I like to recommend Kovels.com because they are highly reputable & reliable.
