Ceramics/clay glazes

Question
How do you clean up the brushes used to apply glaze?  Are they water soluable?

Thanks!

Answer
Sally,
Yes, most glazes are water soluble & clean up easily with water. If you have brushes that have been left to harden, I have a great studio formula I use. I call it "Dawny." Mix equal parts of blue Downy fabric softener and blue Dawn dish soap. Soak brushes overnight to soften anything hardened on them & rinse thoroughly. The smell is fantastic too. You must use the blue Downy & blue Dawn. I'm not sure what is in them, but only those work so well. :) Leisha
