Question
How can I stop my parts from sticking in the mold?
This last time I waited 3 days before opening the mold.
Still stuck, what a mess. Also what can I use to clean
the inside of my mold?

Answer
Waltie,
I'm assuming you're talking about a plaster mold. Are you allowing it to dry thoroughly before pouring it again? Leaving clay in for 3 days is way too long. It's better to get it at the right stage when the clay will still peel away from the mold. Never use a brush or hard item. You should be able to simply wipe it clean with a lint-free type cloth. I used to use old T-shirts & cut them up. If you've got a mess you may need to wet down the clay, let it dissolve & wipe away. Allow the mold to dry thoroughly, re-pour & the clay should pull out the excess. Is this a commercial mold you purchased or one you created?
