Ceramics/craft acrylic mixed with underglaze

Question
My daughter and a friend borrowed my underglaze to paint bisque and returned the ware to me asking for help on touchups. It was then that I discovered they has aslo used some craft acrylics she had on the pieces as well. My question is can I wash off the unglaze, fire the piece in hopes it will burn off the acrylic and then let them repait with underglaze and refire? Or  is there a product I can put on the underglaze/acrylic to set it much like you do when you dry brush? Thanks Bif

Answer
Yes, wash the piece off completely, let dry and then bisque fire.  The firing should burn off most of the acrylic and then you can reglaze the piece.

If you really don't want to re-fire the piece you can wash off the underglaze & have them simply paint the entire piece, then seal it with a ceramic sealer.
