Question
Dear Leisha,

I would like to commission an expert mold maker to make a mold of a famous 18th century female figure. I would like the figure to be 3" high. I don't know if this can be done in ceramic, or if another material would be better. Any information that you can provide as to how I should move forward on this project would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You for your time and knowledge.

Answer
Judy,
A professional mold maker can help determine the best materials suited for the completed figure. He/she will consider the end use, the detail, undercuts, etc. Mold makers usually advertise in ceramics magazines, like Ceramics Monthly. Here's one to start with; Petro Mold Co., www.custommolds.net, (800) 404-5521
Hope they can help you. Leisha
