Question
Hi there, I've come across some recipes that I'd really like to try out myself..but all are from USA and all different ingredients...Do you know what I could substitute these with from the British/Irish suppliers?
Frit 3134 (ferro)
Kona F-4 Feldspar
Edgar Plastic Kaolin (EPK)
Frit 3110
Gerstley Borate

I've been trying to find out but getting contradicting answers or else just too many options!
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Answer
I am in Australia but will help as much as I can. I uploaded a web page with frit info on it for you.

A UK supplier that will probably be able to help you

This is also a good place to look around.

i know Kona feldspar as Soda feldspar
EPK as Eckalite(Kaolin)
Frit 3110 as 4110
Frit 3134 as 4108
Gerstly Borate is no longer avalable and a synthetic form is now being sold, a substitute also is colemanite but I use frit 4108 in its place.
