Ceramics - Artist Identification

Expert: Leisha Hiester - 1/11/2009

Question
I found this darling little girl figurine at a thrift store. It measures 4 1/2" high, 2" wide at the bottom, and 1 1/2" wide at the top, I think it is made out of Parian. The initials B.C. copyright symbol 1944 are engraved on the base bottom left. Can you tell me who the artist is?

Answer
Sharon,
It is so hard to know. I'm not an antiques expert. Parian is a sort of fake marble that was mass-produced for the average person. You might try some of the antique-type sites. Here's a few to get you started. Leisha
