Ceramics/chowder glaze refire at 04 changes

Question
I did a first firing of a specturm 4/6 chowder on the interior of a pot and it turned out to look like dripping honey. I did a second firing using 04 underglazes on the outside on a second firing and it ruin the interior cone 6 glaze as it looks milky. What happened....doesn't the glaze 4/6 get hot enough to change???

Answer
Pamela,
I'm not certain what you're asking, but I'm curious why you didn't do the underglaze firing with the bisque firing? Typically, that's how it's done & then the follow up firing. Cone 4/6 is hotter than 04.
Basically, what I can tell by what you've told me is the 2nd firing you re-heated the chowder, but not to full temp, so it just clouded the glaze.
Let me know if I can help further. Leisha
