Ceramics - Repairing a bowl

Expert: Leisha Hiester - 10/6/2009

Question
Hi there, I bought an old tureen and a wash bowl at a car boot sale, The guy had them on the grass so i never noticed they had bits broken off on the bottom rims, I was wondering what i could use to fill them, Thanking you in advance.

Answer
Kate,
Are they fired ceramic? How large are the chips? If they're small and you're intending to use them for decoration only you can use a fill readily available at most hardware stores. Here's a link to a 'how to.'

Hope this is helpful. Leisha
