Question
I am new to ceramics. The more I read, the more confused I get. Can you use commercial glazes and underglazes on the same piece? What is the process? Thank you

Answer
Hi

Underglaze is generally colour that can be used to decorate a surface and glaze is the finish that goes on top. Depending on the type of underglaze colour you use. I like amaco works much better than Botz at everything.
In principal you can use comercial underglaze beneath comercial glaze, its really a matter of taste and what your expectations are.
I hope this helps
