Question
QUESTION: I acquired a set of old dinnerware from friends who bought it at an estate sale in Palm Springs.  It is simply marked "Mexico" on the bottom, but I think it may be Tlaquepaque ware.  Is there some way I can send you photos?  I would like to know if it is indeed Tlaquepaque, if it contains lead and any other information regarding age, value. etc., that you may be able to provide. Thank you for your help and expertise.

ANSWER: Larry,
Sure, you can attach photos and send them to me. I'm not an expert on antiques, but I'll sure try and I may be able to send you to someone who can help.

Answer
Larry,
Wow what a great set. It sure does appear to be very similar to Tlaquepaque doesn't it? What I would do is contact the source directly. Tlaquepaque is still a major tourist site. There are numerous pottery stores there. Here's one I found; they've got to have email too.
