Hi Joy, I use to work with ceramic molds for years, and found the older molds that had not been used for awhile were too dry. We would spritz them with a water bottle to dampen the inside of the mold and also there is a product called Mold Release. When the molds are so dry they just suck the water out of the clay and that is what will cause the problem...Happy Pouring,
