Question
QUESTION: Have you had any experience firing silver precious metal clays on eathenware already bisque fired to cone 06?

ANSWER: Barbara,

Not PMC particularly, but I fired a White Gold kiln load just yesterday. Would that be helpful?

I have done a few searches on PMC before and there were explicit directions online. My clay supplier also had a great source in their catalog.

Hope this helps some. Leisha

QUESTION: Thanks Leisha,
I have read several PMC firing directions from kiln manufacturers such as Paragon and PMC manufacturers but none have any info to offer on applying & firing paintable PMC on bisque fired earthenware.  When you do a white gold firing, do you have a firing protocol (time, holds, temp) which I may use as a jump off point with the PMC?

Answer
Barbara,
When I fire gold or white gold it is a 3rd firing. Bisque, clear glaze 06 and then apply white gold & fire to 018-019. Working with gold, you must have a very clean environment and I have one brush I use only for this purpose. I hope this is helpful. Leisha
