Can you please date this teapot as I do not know if it is clay or ironstone or what design it even is. All I know it has been in the family for quite a long tme

I am not an antiques expert. You may wish to consult Kovels.com or some others who specialize in antiques. Does the wording say Finland? Is your family from Finland? It's difficult to tell without actually seeing the piece, but the design appears to be similar to many I've seen from the 1930-40's. Would that fit with some of your family history?
