Question
I bought a new sink that is a white vitreous china vessel.  I would like to paint some designs on the interior of the vessel. how can I accomplish this so that it is durable to water and cleaning use? will it explode if painted and fired? does it need to be fired?

Answer
Hi fran, It will need to be sealed to cope with wear and tear. To answer your question, the only way to observe the unknown is to test. You don't know the glaze composition or the firing temp so testing these with the process of decoration is recommended, otherwise you could ruin your sink forever.
