Question
I am trying the sgraffito technique. I used an underglazed on my greenware, scratch a desin, do I need to fire it now as regular bisque? what are the next steps? do I add a regular glaze on the greenware or wait until it is fired?

Thanks
Patti

Answer
Patti,
Congratulations on trying something new! I'm convinced that is exactly how most artists find their voice.

Yes, after applying underglaze & scratching your design, next bisque fire. After the biscuit firing you can then apply a clear glaze, and glaze fire.

Wish you the best, Leisha
