Question
I woman I met at one of the ceramic shows told me that she buys silk flowers, takes them apart, dips the petals in porcelain slip, then fires them.  I've searched for more information about this technique, but haven't been able to come up with directions.  Have you heard of this or tried it?

Answer
Dear Sharon,

Yes, I've heard of this. There's a good book that may be helpful to you; http://www.oztion.com.au/vshops/item.aspx?itemid=9517798%26tid=

There's another method that utilizes this product:

Here's a lady that does what is called; Lace draping. Both lace and flowers can be done like this. She supplies some directions on her site.

Hope this is helpful to you.
