Hi, I recently found this unusual stoneware jug at a tag sale. I have never seen a vessel with this type of spout. It stands There is grazing, but no cracks. The only other imperfections are shown in the photos of the bottom edge. If you have any knowledge about this jug I'd be very interested to learn more about it. You're right, it's very unusual. It appears it may be an antique. I'm not an antiques expert. You may want to try someone with antique expertise or here are some sites that may be helpful to you also;
