Question

ceramic vase
I think this is ceramic.  Can you tell by the photo who might have made it and is it new or old.  I tried to get a picture of the small mark on the bottom but it did not take good.  It looks kinda like <lllg> but not really.  The marks are closer together and the marks on the end I am totally guessing at.

I would appreciate any information you might provide me but know it will be hard since the photos are not very clear.

It appears to be ceramic. Seeing the bottom or "foot" as it's commonly called would be helpful in determining what it is made of.

It is also extremely difficult to tell who might have made it by a photo. Where did you get it? If you purchased it locally you could try your local potters guild or ceramicists organization. It appears it could be hand made.

Generally, local potters or ceramicists know others in the area and are familiar with their work or style. Some even know others signatures.
