Hello I have a few pieces of unique signed pottery items and would like to know who possibly made them as i am a collector and like to learn about the artist. Thanks for any information you can provide.

This appears to say, "Ruth 01" is that correct? If so, my guess is an artist named Ruth created this piece in 2001. It's difficult to know who Ruth is unless she's a national potter with a distinct identity. I'd recommend starting with where you purchased it. Did you buy it locally? Regionally? Nationally? Try to find the regional potters' guild or artists' group and see if anyone recognizes the name or signature. If you can tell me where you're located I'll provide you with some leads.
