Ceramics/slipcasting

Question
Hi
Is it possible to mix a porcelain casting slip together with a stoneware slip in order to achieve a whiter colour than what you get with the stoneware slip alone?

Answer
Hi

Yes that should be ok, just do tests first. Too much porcelain and it is likely that the slip wont stick to the body. Plus depending on what you needs are you can just use a thin coat of porcelain slip rather than casting slip. That should get you white but again if its too thick it will probably fall off.

I would do some testing first until you find what works best for you
