Question

Vanessa
One of two Clay portraits glazed with Zeus Celadon fired in same cone 10 large gas kiln clumped leaving ares of raw clay and running into eyes, chin etc.  Is there any way of repairing the piece by refiring and  raising temperature high enough to melt gaze off of piece?

Answer
Hi Joan, sorry, there is no 100% effective way to fix/repair this. What has happened is called "glaze crawling".

You could try heating the pot up to about 150degC and applying a thin coat of glaze with a spray gun(this will make the glaze dry instantly) and refire.
