Question
Dear Leisha,  We have inherited a good deal of the above china from a great aunt.  She was a rather precise woman and the china is in beautiful condition.
In short there are:
8 dinner plates, 8 luncheon plates, 8 coupe soup bowls, 8 fruit and dessert bowls, 8 6-inch bread and butter plates. 6 teacups and saucers, 2 saucers with no matching cup.
The service pieces are:
Creamer and sugar bowl with lid, a round covered vegetable bowl, a 14 inch oval platter, and a 5 3/4 inch bowl which may be a cranberry bowl?
It's time for me to do something about selling this set.  My questions are these: What is it worth?  Should I sell the serving pieces separately?  Where should I try to sell them?  Sorry, sorry about the long note.
Marie

Answer
Dear Marie,
What a wonderful aunt to leave you such a precious item. There is no way to appraise a set without seeing it or knowing the maker. Generally, a set is worth more together. I would try, if you have one, a local antique dealer. Here are a few other sources for you;

Hope this helps. Leisha
