Question
how do you decide what a piece of ceramics is worth? is it by  age , the newest thing, by creator , technique,  type of firing , origin ????????

Answer
We used to take a mold and divide the price of the mold by 6. So if the mold is $60.00 each greenware piece would be $10.00. Then divide that in half for firing and half if you clean it. So bisque would be double $20.00. If you fire a piece twice-glaze firing it would be 5 more. Then take your time in painting the piece, I did 10 an hour. If it has a gold fire on it double the glaze fire. Of course the new styles are always more. Good luck let me know if you have any other question.
