QUESTION: heres a picture of the bottom but I must appologize for the quality and like I said that there is no markings but I hope it will help any way

Answer
Dear John,
The entire bottom of the pot is blue? It appears it's been painted with an underglaze. My 1st instincts are that it is not very old and perhaps produced by a recent artisan, however, I am not an antiques or collectibles expert. Here are a few sources that may be able to help you more;

Do you recall where you got the vase? If you do, often you can trace it back by contacting the store, shop or arts society where purchased.

I hope this is helpful.
